iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED to debut today
There are alot of rumors regarding the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED to debut today. Apple has been releasing the red edition of iPhone to support a organization named RED. Last year iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus were launched. This year Apple is planning to unveil iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in RED edition. The day would be today most probably i.e April/9/2018. RED is the organization which is working on raising awareness and raising funds to eradicate HIV/AIDS in Africa. MacRumors has reported that different Virgin Mobile employees are given a memo regarding the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED editions. The new models are initially available for the preorders. Their availability will be probably revealed later today in a press conference.
Though it is just said iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, there is no confirmation about the iPhone X RED Edition. Though this is just a rumor for now, we can believe the Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman confirming the arrival of the produce today. The price and availability of the phone is yet not revealed though.
Apple and RED are in long term partnership with each other. Apple has till now raised over $160 million through various campaign to help RED. Various iPod and iPad were also designed in red color for the supporting purpose. The Global Fund is being used for testing, counselling, treatment and prevention programs for HIV/AIDS. They are specially focused on the elimination of transmission of the virus for mothers and to their babies.
RED is working on the various below mentioned countries, namely Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia.
